Brain — AI Security Assistant

Brain is Breakwater's conversational AI interface for OT security operations. Ask questions about your network, get remediation guidance, and investigate incidents using natural language.

Capabilities​

  • Asset Queries — "Show me all Cisco switches on the plant floor" / "Which devices haven't been patched in 90 days?"
  • CVE Analysis — "What's the impact of CVE-2024-1234 on our network?" / "Which devices are affected by the latest Rockwell advisory?"
  • Incident Investigation — "Why did Sentry flag this device?" / "Show me all alerts from the past 24 hours"
  • Remediation Guidance — "How do I patch the Siemens S7-1500 firmware?" / "What's the recommended mitigation for this vulnerability?"
  • Compliance — "Are we compliant with IEC 62443 SL-2?" / "Which devices fail our password policy?"
  • Reporting — "Generate a risk summary for the executive team" / "What changed since last month?"

How It Works​

Brain has access to all Breakwater module data — devices, CVEs, alerts, policies, configurations, and threat intelligence. It uses this context to provide accurate, site-specific answers rather than generic security advice.

Usage​

Click the Brain icon in the navigation bar or press Ctrl+B to open the chat interface. Conversations are stored per-organization and can be referenced later.

Data Access​

Brain can read but never modify your security data. It cannot:

  • Change device configurations
  • Acknowledge or dismiss alerts
  • Modify policies or settings
  • Access data from other organizations
