Helm is Breakwater's OT network architect and monitoring module. Design, visualize, and monitor your industrial network topology using the Purdue Model.

Visual Topology Designer

  • Drag-and-drop canvas with Purdue Model swim lanes (Levels 0–5 + DMZ)
  • 40+ pre-built OT component types (PLCs, HMIs, switches, firewalls, sensors, etc.)

  • Select a device on the canvas → generate baseline configuration
  • Supported platforms: Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, FS.com FSOS, Fortinet FortiOS
  • Templates for VLANs, STP hardening, port security, ACLs, ring protocols
  • Export as CLI paste or file download

Network Monitoring

  • Live status overlay on canvas nodes (green/yellow/red via SNMP)
  • Auto-discovery maps devices to Purdue levels
  • Config drift detection against generated baselines

Getting Started

  1. Open Helm from the Breakwater Portal
  2. Create a new project or load sample data
  3. Drag components from the palette onto the canvas
  4. Draw connections between devices
  5. Configure properties in the right panel
  6. Export diagrams or generate device configs
